About Us
Rosie's Inn Biography
Our family has always been lovers of all furry friends and we understand what it is like to leave your beloved pet behind, short or long term. Myself, Danielle (owner/operator), am the original owner/builder of "Whiskers Inn". Located in Harrowsmith, Ontario. Opened in 2005 the facility was custom renovated by myself and my father specifically for our feline guests. It is presently still owned and operated by a very good friend of the family Tanya. It boasts custom suites, private outdoor balconies, fish tank, tv's, bird feeders, and set in a very peaceful country setting. You can check it out at www.whiskersinn.ca.
Well, life events took over and the difficult decision to move to Hamilton was made in 2013. Unfortunately at the time its was not possible to rebuild such a wonderful home based business and career, but plans were being made in 2019 to return to the career I loved. But alas, along came Covid.....
And the decision to postpone.
Rosie's Inn is a small home, family based business. We are located in a very quiet, safe, and beautiful neighbourhood on West Mountain in Hamilton. Conveniently within minutes of the 403, and approximately 20 minutes from the Hamilton airport.
Our feline guests will find it the purrfect place to relax. Our suites are all large and multi-level, with lots of windows in the common rooms to watch the birds and squirrels, a tv with feline friendly cat videos, play structures, and a cozy chair for lap time. And since this is an exclusively feline boarding facility in our home it is an environment that your kitty will be more accustomed to. This will give you piece of mind knowing that your furry family member will be well cared for.
You may be thinking "Who is Rosie?". She is our much loved fur baby "Rosette" and I'm sure she will be honoured to meet you!

Boarding Information
- We only accept cats that are spayed/neutered and have a current veterinary certificate/ statement of good health.
- Our minimum reservation is 3 nights.
- We are by APPOINTMENT ONLY during the hours of:
- Monday -Friday 8 am - 10 am & 6 - 8 pm
- Saturday 8 am - 10 am only
- Sunday 7 pm - 8 pm only
- Holiday Closures for drop offs and pick ups are: Easter Sunday, Canada Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day,Boxing Day, New Year's Eve, and New Years Day. (We still give your kitties just as much attention)
- We at Rosie's Inn base our rates the same way as most hotels and inns do. You may bring your cat(s) during the am or pm hours posted above. However, check out time for each day is in the morning hours (Sundays are the exception). Please remember that if you pick up in the evening hours you will be charged for that day.

Vaccinations
- We require a copy of your cats current vaccination records. This includes Rabies vac (1 - 3 years) and Feline Viral Rhinotracheitus, Calicivirus, and Panleukopenia (FVRCP). We base your requirements on your veterinarians recommendations.
- In the unlikely event that your cat needs veterinary care, we will do whatever is necessary to make sure your cat is looked after properly. Any veterinary services will be billed to you.

Hygiene
- We go to great lengths to ensure the highest level of cleanliness. All common surfaces, bowls, etc. are thoroughly cleaned daily. For safety reasons, we do not allow cats that are not from the same family to roam with any other cats in the common play spaces.

Food
- We ask that you bring enough food, medications, treats, etc. for the duration of your cats stay. Please bring written instruction when you bring your cat for boarding.
- If you have more than one cat and it is imperative that they do not eat each others food then they will be required to be roomed separately.

Fleas
- We require that all cats be free of fleas and any other parasites while they stay with us. If we discover that your cat has fleas he/she will be treated with Advantage or Revolution and the cost added to your bill as well as possibly the treatment of any other guests.

- We highly recommend that you come visit us prior to boarding. We absolutely want you to feel comfortable leaving your furry family member with us. What to Bring Checklist
- Current vaccination certificate
- Enough food/ medication for duration of stay
- Itinerary if possible and telephone numbers where you can be reached.
- Phone number of an emergency contact (family or friend).
- Clients are responsible for getting their cat(S) to and from our home, please ensure to have them safely contained.
- Yes! We can store your carrier.
